Railways doesn't maintain separate profitability records of Vande Bharat, RTI response reveals

The Railway Ministry in India has not maintained separate revenue generation records for Vande Bharat trains, the country's first semi-high-speed trains. The trains, which have been operating since February 2019, have travelled over 2 crore people and covered a distance equivalent to 310 Earth rounds in the financial year 2023-24. Chandra Shekhar Gaur, a Madhya Pradesh-based citizen, expressed surprise that the Ministry doesn't maintain the most crucial information regarding revenue generation.
